FCC To Kill The Internet, Innovation At 10:30 Today

image from www.hypebot.comThe FCC is scheduled to vote on the future of net neutrality at 10:30 today. If the vote goes along party lines as expected,  it is unlikely that you will see an immediate change in how some content is delivered over the net.  But the change will come, as internet service providers (ISPs) inevitably bow to the wishes of their real bosses - the shareholders seeking ever greater profits.  What does this have to do with music?

D.I.Y. artists, indie labels, new music technologies and independent media will be unable to compete on an internet that has fast lanes and slows lanes. Put simply, the fight to save net neutrality is essential to the future of music creation, distribution and discovery.
