Sam Smith lands on the cover of L’Uomo Vogue this month. While that black-and-white pic is a little alarming (the pop star appears to have aged 20 years), the rest of the Cole Sprouse-helmed shoot is typically serene and whimsical. The cover story, if there is one, hasn’t surfaced online yet, but you can click through the pics up top. Sam also dropped a trailer for his much-anticipated sophomore LP, The Thrill Of It All, today. The video takes us behind the scenes of the recording process.
There’s footage of the 25-year-old recording lead single “Too Good At Goodbyes” with a full choir as well as a glimpse at the assembly or musicians and producers. The Grammy winner’s album drops November 3 and is expected to be one of the year’s biggest sellers. As for the production credits, he reunites with long-time collaborator Jimmy Napes on the record and works with Stargate, Timbaland, Malay and Poo Bear. Watch the trailer below.
